Turkey Bowl came down to 2.540 seconds!

WHAT-A-RACE!!!!

Sunday’s 4 hour endurance marked the 2nd Annual Turkey Bowl at Lehigh Valley Grand Prix.  The event celebrates the end of a 45 day food drive for the 2nd Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley.  “It is a great opportunity to provide for someone who is a little less fortunate this holiday season,” said Mike McCreary.

The Turkey Bowl hosted 9 teams participating in a 4hr endurance race.  The race held two classes to make the event fun and competitive for all driving levels.  The race itself was extremely exciting.  In the Amateur Class 4 of the teams finished within 2 laps of each other.  2nd Place through 4th place came down to the final 2o minutes of the race as teams jockeyed for position in the pits and on the track.

The Pro Class also came down to the wire as The Lumber Jacks chased down Team Suchon <3 only finding themselves coming up 2.540 seconds short of first place.  At the 30 minute marker The Lumber Jacks were 21 seconds off the leader and made a valiant effort to only come up short.  “If we had one more lap, I think we could have had them,” said Jianni Koburi of the Lumber Jacks.

Following the race there was a Turkey Dinner provided to the participants and an award ceremony to celebrate the race results.  See below for the Final Results:
