Masters of Disaster & Two and a Half Men take the checkered at LVGP500

The 5th Annual LVGP500 didn’t lack excitement or drama.  The race was in question with the weather on Saturday Night laying an unpredictable forecast..  With a little luck from Mother Nature and some determined racers the LVGP500 blasted off as scheduled.

The SOLD OUT field was comprised of 5 PRO teams and 7 Amateur teams.  It might be debated that Two and a Half Men should have been PRO but who would have thought that a team of guys who have never raced indoor karts would perform like they did!  Congrats to that group for far exceeding expectations.

In the PRO Class the final 3 teams all finished within 4.8 seconds from each other.  The Masters of Disaster finally took home an LVGP500 Win!  The team comprised of 3 kids from the junior league program and Jason Frankenfield aka “Uncle Bone,” they had made many attempts to win an enduro at LVGP.  In the past they had issues in the pits, mental errors in the race and other problems from being a young group.  This year they were able to overcome those issues and proved to be the team to beat for next year!  A BIG CONGRATS to them.

The Amateur Class was a competitive field even with hosting 3 new teams with zero endurance race experience at LVGP.  Two and a half men, Turner Motorsports and Track Assasins did a great job for their first ever race!  Also, a big shout out to all the teams for finishing the race and bringing that competitive spirit!

Racing isn’t just about the Race, It is about the Community of Racers.  Thank you to EVERYONE who was apart of the 5th Annual LVGP500!
