Get ready to rock out for the final NASCAR race of the season at Lehigh Valley Grand Prix!  Pocono Raceway, WZZO, Archery Addictions and Octane-adrenaline bar are going teaming up to deliver a crazy event!!  Octane-adrenaline bar located at Lehigh Valley Grand Prix will be hosting the event, showing the NASCAR Race on it’s 5-42″ televisions and broadcasting the race over the sound system.

Get the thrill of wheel to wheel racing at LVGP!  Leagues kick off the first week in October with the Adult Leagues starting on October 3rd and the Junior Leagues starting on Oct 6th!

Adult Leagues start up at 7pm each night for 4 consecutive Wednesday evenings.  In week one the field will qualify for a class.  This enables a fun and competitive experience for drivers of all abilities!  Dinner will be provided each night from Octane-adrenaline bar  as an added bonus with an awards party the final week!

Cost: $200 for 4 weeks

Junior Leagues offer a great experience for kids ages 10-15 to get into the sport of karting.  Drivers with all abilities compete each week against drivers in their class.  Week one the drivers will qualify for classes to ensure a fun experience. The 1st Annual Redneck Party is being hosted at Lehigh Valley Grand Prix on May 27th from 12pm-8pm.  The tongue in cheek party celebrates racing as the Indy 500, Coca Cola 600 and F1 Race in Monaco all collide on the same day.  The theme party starts off with the viewing of the Indy 500 and F1 race at Octane-adrenaline bar located inside of LVGP.  The day will host 2 feature races; The Redneck Relay sponsored by Army Navy and The Big Wheel Race sponsored by Red Stag.

The track at LVGP will be a Powder track style and there will be race specials all day.  Octane-adrenaline bar will be serving up food and drinks throughout the day.  Remember, you can’t drink before racing Go-karts so get those races in early if you plan on drinking!

The Redneck Relay will start at 1pm.  Teams of 4 will participate in the racing/eating contest.  Each participate will race 10 laps then eat 10 wings tagging the next teammate.  The cost to enter is $30 per person.

The Big Wheel Race is the only race at LVGP where participants are allowed to consume alcoholic beverages “responsibly” prior to racing.  Teams of 3 will bring their own big wheel to race around the track.  Cost to enter is $25 per person.

Prizes will be awarded to race winners, best dressed guests and most creative big wheels!  This is a must see event as the racing community and LVGP rally to celebrate the greatest sport on the planet….RACING!!!  BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR BEST REDNECK ATTIRE!!

The regions #1 most popular bachelor party destination just go an upgrade!  Octane-adrenaline bar has just been approved for it’s liquor license on Good Friday.  The bar and grill is located inside of Lehigh Valley Grand Prix and provides a great place to grab drinks and food after racing.  Already becoming popular for it’s wings and pizza the bar and grill is the perfect finish to a great event on the track!

It would take a lot more than a little rainout to stop the fun at the LVGP500 and Pocono Raceway Viewing Party!!

As the teams rolled in for the sold out event at 7am to prepare for the first ever LVGP500 you could feel that it was going to be a great competition.  The field held 13 teams, 4 teams in the pro class and 9 teams in the amateur field.

To qualify for the race the teams participated in a 5 minute qualifier.  The results.  1. Runt & Jianni 2.  Speed Dudes 3.  Octane  4.  Boneheads  5.  333  6.  Racer X  7.  Indo Pratama  8.  The Bitches  9.  Speed Shop  10.  Rib Breaker  11.  Pocono Raceway  12.  Sibum Auto Part  13.  Wheel2Wheel.

The start of the race was chaos.  On the first start a kart didn’t make it to the green flag so there had a to be a restart.  On the restart the top qualifier pulled in to make a kart swap giving up the lead on the first lap!  Speed Dudes quickly followed for a stop and go in the pits.  Team 333 also did a kart swap to start the race.  After two laps team Octane was in the lead!  That lead wouldn’t last long as Team 333 charged up the field and made the pass.

Team 333 would run a near flawless race to take a victory in the Pro class with a 3 lap lead. Team Speed Dudes who had won the previous 5 enduros would finish in the second position, while Runt & Jianni would fight back after some poor decision making early on to secure the final podium spot.

The Amatuer class provided some good racing as well as some comic relief in the pit area.  Team Indo Pratama fielded a team from the Northern Virginia area and had very little experience on the LVGP track.  This team of experienced drivers would eventually figure out the line and make a 3 lap comeback to beat out Octane for the amateur victory!  Octane finished the race a 1/4 lap behind Indo Pratama with “The B’s” finishing in 3rd place.

After the race the awards ceremony held in the main lobby  was packed wall to wall with people attending the race as well as the Pocono Raceway Viewing party, provided some great recognition for the participants.

Following the awards Kevin Haney from Pocono Raceway started up the Viewing Party.  With great anticipation for the Daytona 500 it was disappointing to have the rainout but Kevin made the most of it.  The crowd latest for a few hours while Pocono gave away race tickets, signed racing memorabilia and gear.  Overall, it was a great event even though the NASCAR race never got going.

The Motorsports Show is hosted by Area Auto Racing News and held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa.  The show dates are January 20-22nd.  Hours for the show are; Friday 2pm-1opm, Saturday 11am-9pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Saturday night the show hosts it’s famous Mis. Motorsports Contest.

The Philadelphia Auto Show is a great event to see the latest in concept cars and production vehicles up close and in person!  The show is hosted at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from January 28th through February 5th.

Pocono Raceway, a host of two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events each summer,  will be bringing the excitement of NASCAR to race fans across the region with Viewing Parties of select NASCAR races in 2012. Lehigh Valley Grand Prix has been named as the location to kick off the 2012 Pocono Raceway Viewing Party Series!

Octane, the new bar opening at LVGP will host the event with Pocono Raceway.  The event will include drink specials, race specials, food specials, giveaways from Pocono including race tickets, signed racing memorabilia and gear.  The party date is set for February 26th which is the date that NASCAR opens the season in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Prior to the viewing party LVGP will be hosting the LVGP500.  A race that is designed to celebrate the start of the NASCAR season.  12 teams will compete to see who can complete 500 laps first!  The race will host 2 classes of drivers for the experienced and beginners.  The program is designed to be fun for everyone and will include prizes and awards afterwards.  Competitors will then get to celebrate the finish at the viewing party held at Octane.
