Lehigh Valley Grand Prix Hosting “Race of Champions”

Lehigh Valley Grand Prix, one of the premier indoor karting venues in the country, is hosting a “Race of Champions” on Saturday, February 2 that pits drivers from asphalt and dirt racing against each other in gas-powered karts that reach 45 miles-per-hour. The race, organized by Raceseng, a racing lifestyle brand, features over 50 champion drivers, including Drift Nirvana Champion “Rapper” Dan Savage and Asphalt Modified Divisional Champion Jimmy Zacharias.

“I can’t wait to see how dedicated champion drivers from asphalt and dirt outdoor racing perform against each other on our indoor track,” said Michael McCreary, partner of Lehigh Valley Grand Prix. “In addition to the race itself, the whole atmosphere is going to be one big party, complete with DJ, complementary food and drink specials. Should be a blast.”

Drivers from all over the east coast will compete in qualifying races leading up to the Race of Champions, which starts at 6 p.m. The main event consists of the Top 10 drivers from the qualifying rounds accelerating through 20 heart-pumping laps. The winner will be crowned the 2013 Race of Champions and awarded a gorgeous trophy designed by Raceseng.

Adding to the racing entertainment is DJ Drift spinning music. The free-admission party also features complimentary hor d’oeuvres and beer and drink specials from Lehigh Valley Grand Prix’s Octane-Adrenaline bar. When the Race of Champions is over at 8:30 p.m., there will be $15 kart racing specials for everyone in attendance. The party runs until 1 a.m.
